Divine Guardian is an Archetype of the Paladin class in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Description[ | ]

The divine guardian devotes herself to the protection and guardianship of one creature at a time, be that her liege lord, an allied cleric, or an innocent facing overwhelming danger at the hands of evil.

The divine guardian devotes herself to the concerns of the material world, eschewing some divine studies. She does not gain access to divine spellcasting.

Base Features[ | ]

A divine guardian gains most of the features of a paladin. Instead of a paladin's divine spellcasting and Lay On Hands ability, they gain the following features.

ShieldOfFaith

Divine Troth

Beginning at 2nd level, once per day the divine guardian pledges her protection to a willing creature for the day.




LayOnHands

Guarding Hands

At 2nd level, a divine guardian gains the paladin's Lay On Hands ability. When the divine guardian targets her divine troth with this ability, it is a swift action.




LifeShield

Courageous Defense

At 3rd level a divine guardian can use their Divine Bodyguard or In Harm's Way abilities to intercept attacks directed at the target of her divine troth.

The divine guardian's aura of courage does not grant a bonus to allies within 10 feet, but still grants her immunity to fear effects.

Divine Bodyguard

When a target of the divine guardian's divine troth ability is attacked, she may use an attack of opportunity to provide her ally with a +4 bonus to AC.




DefensiveStance

In Harm's Way

The divine guardian can intercept a successful attack against the target of her divine troth ability once per round, taking full damage from that attack and any associated effects.

Divine Guardian Bonus Feat

A divine guardian gains a bonus feat at 7th level, and additional bonus feats at 10th and 13th level. These bonus feats must be chosen from the following list: Combat Reflexes, Diehard, Dodge, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Improved Great Fortitude, Iron Will, Improved Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Improved Lightning Reflexes, Missile Shield, Shield Focus, Toughness, or Tower Shield Proficiency.
