A creature's size can fall into one of the 9 categories (from smallest to largest):

  1. Fine
  2. Diminutive
  3. Tiny
  4. Small
  5. Medium
  6. Large
  7. Huge
  8. Gargantuan
  9. Colossal

A creature's size gives it certain bonuses and penalties in combat. Most playable races are Medium, except goblins, gnomes and halflings, who are Small.

Generally, larger creature means stronger, slower and more easier to hit creature. And vice versa - than smaller a creature is, than more dexterous but weaker it is.

Using Enlarge Person on a target increases the creature’s size category to the next larger one. The target gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size. Melee and ranged weapons used by this creature deal more damage and melee weapons have increased reach.

Size Modifier[ | ]

The special size modifier for both defense and attack are as follows:

  • Colossal -8
  • Gargantuan -4
  • Huge -2
  • Large -1
  • Medium 0
  • Small +1
  • Tiny +2
  • Diminutive +4
  • Fine +8
