A Metamagic feat is a type of feat in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Effects[ | ]

A metamagic feat allows the caster to alter the behavior of a spell in ways not normally possible. In return, the spell is prepared at a higher level slot or consumes the daily use of a higher level spell.

Spontaneous casters need a full round of casting (instead of standard action) when using metamagic feats, this does not apply to the Quicken metamagic feat and also not to metamagic from rods. Even though spells modified with metamagic are cast from higher spell slots, their spell level (for saving throws) is not increased, unless using the Heighten metamagic.
