Metamagic Rods

Metamagic Rods are a type of magic item in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Effect

These rods allow the user to apply a Metamagic feat to a spell a limited number of times per day without having to pre-prepare it with the modified effects. In addition, the spell does not use a higher level spell slot.

To use a rod, equip it to a quick slot and activate it. Any spell cast while the wand is active will have the relevant metamagic feat applied, and one of the wand's daily charges will be consumed. The charge is used up whether or not the spell was able to benefit from the metamagic feat.

Different grades of rods can only be used on different levels of spells. Lesser rods can only be used with spells of 3rd level or less, standard rods with 6th level or less, and greater rods with 9th level or less.

Only one rod can be activated at a time.
