One of the competitors, who, like you, successfully completed Jamandi Aldori's task, and received a Barony as a reward.

The Aldori set Maegar's to capture or kill the Noose, a witch infamous for her conjurations and illusions. After over a year of hunting, the Host finally tracked her to a valley between Rostland and Issia where she was building shrines to demon lords, Cephal argued waiting for reinforcements. Instead a ruse was staged where Maegar was supposedly betrayed by the Host and given to the Noose for sacrifice. While she was occupied performing the ritual, the Varnling Host attacked, freeing their leader and capturing the witch. For this, Maegar Varn was awarded Dunsward for his new barony of Varnhold.
