Ivar is a character in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
Biography[ | ]
A hunter from Lake Silverstep Village, Ivar was well known for his fanciful tales. Despite marrying his love Lissa, and having two children, his stories eventually brought about his ruin. One night, after he entertained his children with a story that a mythical Silver Dragon could be seen from the top of a treacherous peak nearby, he awoke to find both his children had tried to climb the peak in the night and had fallen to their deaths. Not long after, his wife followed their children, they say out of grief.
A more detailed account in Ivar's own words can be read in the Hunter's Letter.
While grieving at the graves of his children, Ivar angrily cursed himself for being "a monster" and unwittingly his grief actually brought about the curse of lycanthropy. Trying to make the best of it, Ivar decided to become the protector of the village, killing those who would take advantage of its people.
