Hour of Rage is a quest in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Brevoy calls for help — barbarian hordes approach the walls of Restov! Swordlords ruler Jamandi Aldori, to whom we owe the existence of this barony, as well as the title of its leader, has asked for reinforcements. Will the {baron's/baroness'} army arrive on time, or will it be late? How will this battle end?

The Swordlords will engage the barbarians in a battle on the Flintrock Grassland. Allied duty requires us to go there immediately — but perhaps the {baron/baroness} has {his/her} own reasons to wait?

If barbarians speak the truth, the coming of our troops will make them retreat. Our party advances to the barbarian camp to return with word of victory — and hopefully with the filthy head of Armag, cut from his shoulders!

In barbarian camp, everything is in chaos. What happened here? Where is the chieftain? We must find our accomplice, who planned to overthrow the Armag, and find out what is going on!

So, the barbarians are retreating — this is good news. Armag escaped — this is not good news. He went to some ancient tomb, and there he is going to gain some kind of unknown power — this definitely can't be good! But at least this battle is over. It is time to report to the Brevoy command.

Sneak into the camp quietly? Ha! That's not barbarian way! Instead, the tribe of the Tiger Lords rebelled. They no longer want to recognize Armag as their leader! At least some of them. Amiri volunteered to help the rebels and convince the rest... the smart ones — with words, and convince the stubborn ones with steel!
Infiltrate the Tiger Lords camp No exp SaveAshman (5345d5b4338726d4082fa80a389615ed)
It seems there has been a split in the barbarian camp! Amiri volunteered to make a foray into the enemy's camp and challenge their leader, Armag, equally hated by both his enemies and his own soldiers (except those who, on the contrary, consider him a chosen one... yes, everything is pretty much complicated there). The Tiger Lords promised to lead her to their camp, but after that she'll have to act alone, at her own peril...
The enemy retreated — because of our reinforcements (and because of the fact no one is paying them for the campaign) the barbarians are returning to Numeria! For this feat Brevoy's noblemen agreed to recognize our {baron/baroness} as the {King/Queen}! There's just one thing that sours our celebration — the barbarian leader, mad Armag, managed to escape! We need to catch this villain by any means, before he tries anything else to hurt us and our friends!

Walkthrough[ | ]

Reach the Flintrock Grassland in the Glenebon Uplands[ | ]

  • When you enter the location you will be met by Gwart and Amiri (if you started Blood Calling quest)
  • If you have started Blood Calling quest it boils down to two options:
    1. [Chaotic-only] to incite rebellion in the camp
    2. Amiri's solo stealth mission in the camp.
  • If you don't have Amiri as companion you automatically get to "Meet with Jamandi Aldori" objective.
  • Warning! once you complete this objective you won't be able to leave the map until you have completed the quest. Also you can not rest on this map.

Challenge Armag[ | ]

  • This objective is covered by Blood Calling quest, see the page for more info.
  • This objective will ALWAYS fail, no matter if you succeed or fail to complete Blood Calling part.

Meet with Jamandi Aldori[ | ]

  • After Amiri's part you will get back to your party, head north and meet Jamandi Aldori.
  • Depending on whether you completed Betrayer's Flight first or not she will either congratulate you on your inexperience as a ruler or blame you for coming too late which resulted in her losing most of Restov army.
  • Either way, that is just flavor text and she will go away after you done talking.

Break into the barbarian camp[ | ]

  • Explore the map, you will be ambushed by several groups of barbarians, sometimes there will be Brevoy Soldiers helping you out.
  • In the south part of the main plains (directly north-east from Aldori camp, but down the hill) you will meet Dallirun Myrnas.
    1. If Betrayer's Flight is not yet completed you can let him be or attack him and Brevoy soldiers with (Chaotic Evil) option, there is also no-alignment option to attack if you have Regongar in party.
    2. If Betrayer's Flight is completed the gnome will be there alone, planning to rise his dead companions.
      • You can stop him from doing that and get Moonstone x7, Bloodstone x11 and extra +480xp.
        1. "Don't vex Pharasma. The cost of such a pointless feat is your eternal soul!" if you passed hidden Lore (Religion) DC 33 check.
        2. Passing (Lawful Good) Diplomacy DC 35 check +3840xp
        3. Passing (Neutral Good) Diplomacy DC 33 check +1920xp
      • Let him raise the dead that will help you fight a group of Barbarian Hill Giants to the north with (Lawful Neutral), (Neutral), (Lawful Evil) or failing [Diplomacy] checks.
      • (Chaotic Evil) to kill him alone.
      • (Neutral Evil) to kill both him and his undead.
  • To the far east you will meet Byrk and three initially friendly Barbarian Hill Giants. If Betrayer's Flight is not yet completed clicking on them will result in combat, otherwise they will just go away.
  • This objective is finished once you defeat the barbarian group at the gates of the camp.
    • If your Envoy was Lander Lebeda his rapier and dagger will "greet" you right after that fight.

Find Gwart[ | ]

  • Go to the west part of barbarian camp, there you will meet Gwart and Amiri (if you have been doing her quest), also Nilak and Dugath if they survived.
  • Simply talk to Gwart until he goes away.

Report to Jamandi about success[ | ]

  • Go to the middle part of the camp and talk with Jamandi Aldori and Natala Surtova.
  • The dialogue boils down to choosing whom you choose as your ally, this will affect what bonus projects you will get during Coronation.
    1. [Neutral-only] option to be a mediator in Aldori-Surtova conflict.
    2. If you have completed Betrayer's Flight you can side with House Surtova, [Evil-only] response will also give you Garrison at Nivakta's Crossing project.
    3. If you haven't completed Betrayer's Flight you can side with Aldori Swordlords.
    4. You can also declare independence.
  • Envoys:
    1. Kassil Aldori (if alive) will return during Coronation event if you allied with Aldori or stayed Neutral.
    2. Shandra Mervey will return during Coronation event if you allied with Surtova or stayed Neutral.
    3. Lander Lebeda does not return, but you get to choose what to do with his body, unfortunately due to specific key flag not being unlocked you won't gain anything from it, just alignment choice opportunity.
      1. [Lawful-only] to demand ransom.
      2. Non-aligned response to allow him be resurrected.
      3. (Lawful Evil) to deny resurrection.
  • Once you done talking you can leave the location now (exit is next to where you talked with Aldori and Surtova). You can not return to this location later, so loot everything you can.
