Aroden was an immortal Azlanti who raised the Starstone from the bottom of the Inner Sea in 1 AR, and in so doing founded the city of Absalom and ascending to godhood. Prophecy told of his return to Golarion and the beginning of a new Age of Glory. On the eve of his return, however, his clerics were cut off from his power, and terrible storms wracked the world. Now presumed dead, Aroden's demise ushered in the current Age of Lost Omens.
