Armor and shields

Armor provides protection and prevents public nudity.

Traits[edit | edit source]

Armor Type: The type of armor mainly determines what proficiency feats apply. Additional effects are the inability to wear heavy and medium armor when sleeping.

Armor Check Penalty: Actions that require speed, agility, and freedom of movement are affected by the armor that is worn. This may be further compounded by the Max Dexterity stat. Skill checks that are affected are Athletics, Mobility, Stealth, and Trickery.

Arcane Spell Failure Chance: This is the chance of spell failure when the wearer attempts to cast an arcane spell. The chance from armor is additive with that from a shield.

Max Dexterity: This is the maximum Dexterity bonus that the wearer can have. This includes the bonus to Armor Class from Dexterity.
